Week 35 in detail

Mostly grown — the rest is fat and lung polish

Baby this week

Most organs are done. The remaining weeks are weight, fat, and lung finishing. Cheeks start to look like cheeks. Sucking is strong. You should still feel regular movement; big does not mean sleepy all day.

  • Fat is temperature and energy for the first days
  • The brain still benefits from staying in
  • Hiccups remain common

Your body this week

Watch movements like a hawk. A slower day after a busy day can be sleep; a quieter-than-your-normal pattern is a call. Pelvic pressure, insomnia, and “I cannot eat a full plate” are typical.

  • Maternity pads and giant pants are postpartum, not optional if you had a vaginal birth
  • Pump parts can be clean and boxed even if you are unsure about feeding
  • Swelling + headache + visual sparkles = urgent

Get ready

Check your postpartum pad stash. Keep counting. The checklist above is pads, pump, and movements. Trust a change in kicks more than a due-date app.
